An interesting religious holiday where the animals are allowed to enter Catholic churches for the day to receive blessings.  The animal-friendly church services are followed by congregations and a feast to celebrate.

Candlemas-Dia de la Candelaria

Dia de la Constitucion
Every February 5th, the entire country celebrates the Mexican constitutions by proclaiming dedication and allegiance to Mexico.  Spectacular fiestas and parades are held to honor national patriotism.

Dia de la Bandera
The ultimate demonstration of Mexican patriotism is observed every February 24th to honor the Mexican flag which was originally adopted in 1823.  The eagle and cactus emblem unifies the national spirit today with its ancestors through an Aztec legend.
