Dress code: In Cabo San Lucas, informal
is the rule. However, high-end restaurants may prohibit shorts, and
bathing suits should be worn only in the pool or at the beach. It's a good idea
to carry a sweater or light jacket in the winter months, especially in the
evenings.
When to go: It's hard to catch Cabo San Lucas not flooded with
tourists and university students enjoying their school break. However,
your best bet is during the late October to early December (definitely before
the Christmas season commences) when the temperature drops to about 15C and the
crowds have not thickened yet. If you're coming for the fishing, the big
fish are most likely caught during hurricane season (May to October) which finds
the city at its wettest as well.
