Dress Code: The dress standards around the beach areas are mostly
casual, but appropriate outfits are recommended when visiting important
establishments. Be advised that some restaurants do not accept clients in
jeans and tennis shoes. It is also recommended to use strong sunscreen and
always cover yourself up when going outdoors to prevent sunburn.
When To Go: The almost year-round perfect tropical weather makes
Acapulco very crowded most of the time. However, the peak tourist season
is the period from December to the end of Easter, and during the July and August
school break. Semana Santa is normally the busiest time of the year.
If you really want to avoid the crowds, try the rainy season from June to
September. Accommodation rates during this season tend to be lower, and
you can still enjoy the sun after the daily's few hours rain stop.
